Cottage cheese, one of my favorite cheap sources of protein. These Healthy Cottage Cheese Recipes I’m showing you today are not just cheap and high protein but delicious and super easy to make! If you’re not a fan of cottage cheese, you might be after these!

We’ll start these healthy cottage cheese recipes off with a breakfast recipe!

Cottage Cheese Scramble

First, take out a bowl and crack 3 eggs into it. Beat your eggs until your yolks are fully broken up or however you like your scrambled eggs.

Next, use the stove or griddle and scramble your eggs. Keep your eggs moving at all times as you cook them and your end result will be delicious, fluffy scrambled eggs!

Pour your scrambled eggs into another bowl and mix in 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese, a pinch of black pepper, some chopped up chives, and anything else you want.

I’m topping mine with some hot sauce today but think outside the box and this one will never get old. Add in other vegetables, use different sauces, herbs, spices, and so on!

That’s it, you now have a healthy cottage cheese scramble in just minutes. This healthy cottage cheese recipe might be quick but it also packs over 30 grams of protein!

Cottage Cheese Dessert

This recipe is one that has gotten me through multiple diets. It’s something I’ve ate almost every night before bed for the past couple of and no, I’m still not sick of it!

The slow digesting casein in the cottage cheese and fats in the peanut butter keep the hunger cravings away which makes dieting that much easier.

All you need for it is a bowl, 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon of peanut or other nut butter, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and some optional protein powder.

Mix everything together and BOOM, you now have a COTTAGE CHEESE DESSERT!

This healthy cottage cheese recipe has around 20 grams of protein without protein powder. I usually add in around a scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder which easily doubles the protein.

If you want to take this up another level you can throw it in the fridge or freezer for a bit. It’ll thicken up like soft serve ice cream!

Cottage Cheese Fluff

This last healthy cottage cheese recipe is something you can use as either a healthy topping or as a calorie friendly dessert.

All you need is a food processor and 4 ingredients which you’ll put right into your food processor.

Add into your food processor 1 cup of fat free cottage cheese, 4 ounces of a whipped topping, 1 cup of frozen strawberries or other fruit, and 1 scoop of your choice flavor protein powder.

Process everything together until you have your cottage cheese fluff! Depending on how powerful your food processor is, it should start to fluff up after around 1-2 minutes.

Top it with some crushed up graham crackers, fresh strawberry slices, and sugar free chocolate chips!

Not a fan of cottage cheese? Seriously, don’t be scared to try it again with any of these healthy cottage cheese recipes! I hate plain cottage cheese by itself but LOVE it in almost any recipe.

I tried the cottage cheese dessert and, even without adding protein powder, found it so thick I needed to add about 1/4 of liquid just to make it edible. Added sliced banana. Pretty good. Thanks for the idea.

Not sure what the UK equivalent of a “whipped topping” is. What is it you use? Any recommendations?

    Great recipes as always though!

Dream whip would work if you have access to that. Thank you!

Cottage Cheese Dessert is amazing!! Made mine with almond butter but honestly you can make it without and tastes just as good. Plus added some blackberries to mine. Love that you always make the recipes flexible to make it your own!

I absolutely love the “cottage cheese dessert”. I’ve been using the PB2 powder in place of peanut butter. If I use chocolate protein, it’s so good! It’s my go-to in the AM after the gym. THANK YOU!

      Love hearing that Jill!

      Thank you!
This website has literally saved my diet. I was desperately trying to stick with my vlcd, and was struggling with reaching my protein levels – but no more. These are delicious and I am very grateful.
