- 2 Pounds Ground Meat Lean Beef, Turkey, or Chicken (I use 93/7 Ground Beef)
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- ½ Onion Chopped/Optional
- 4 Teaspoons Minced Garlic Optional
- 28 Ounces Diced Tomatoes Fire Roasted (if you can find them)/No Salt Added
- 8 Ounces Bone Broth Low/No Sodium
- 8 Ounces Salsa Your Choice
- 4 Ounces Green Chiles Diced/Not Salt Added
- 15 ½ Ounces Kidney Beans Dark Red/Drained & Rinsed/No Salt Added
- 15 Ounces Black Beans Drained & Rinsed/No Salt Added
- 15 ¼ Ounces Corn or Southwest Corn
- 1 Ounce Taco Seasoning Mix Low/No Sodium
- 1 ½ Tablespoons Ranch Seasoning Mix
Place a large stovetop pan over medium heat and add in your Olive Oil
Once it heats up, add in your Ground Meat and break it up
Toss in your chopped Onion and Garlic
Keep everything moving until your Ground Meat has browned (5-10 minutes)
Add that mix into the bottom of your slow cooker
Pour in the rest of your ingredients and thoroughly mix everything together
Cover your slow cooker and let it cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or high heat for 3-4 hours
To lower the sodium look for no salt added/lower sodium alternatives for all of your ingredients!
