Chocolate Microwave Protein Cheesecake
Another week, another recipe (slow clap)! We’re diving back into the cheesecake game with a quick Chocolate Microwave Protein Cheesecake! This one takes only a couple minutes to prep, has just the right texture, and 9 grams of net carbs in the whole thing!
Start this recipe by adding into a bowl 1 large whole egg, 3 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1/4 container (37.5g) of a complimenting flavor Greek yogurt, 1 scoop of a good tasting chocolate protein powder, 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, and a little optional sweetener.
You can easily soften your cream cheese by microwaving it for :10-:20 seconds!
Mix all of those ingredients up until smooth. Do your best to get rid of all of the cream cheese pieces (easier said than done).
Take out a microwavable dish and coat it with some non-stick cooking spray. I used a 2 cup ramekin like this today.
Pour your mix into your dish, top it with a couple chocolate chips or anything else you want, and put it into the microwave for :30 seconds.
After :30 seconds, quickly mix everything around, and continue microwaving your soon to be microwave protein cheesecake for around 2-3 minutes.
Keep in mind that your microwave time may change depending on how powerful your microwave is so keep an eye on it.
Alternatively you can also bake this in the oven on 325F/162C for around 35-40 minutes. Baking it will give you an even better result if you have the time!
Microwave Protein Cheesecake Tips
- You can double or triple the recipe to make a bigger protein cheesecake, just make sure to add microwave time. You can also scale it in the recipe card!
- Full, reduced, or fat free cream cheese will all work and can help you change up the macros. We used reduced fat cream cheese but include all of the nutritional information for each one below.
- Think outside the flavor box! Peanut butter Greek yogurt with chocolate peanut butter protein powder, red velvet Greek yogurt with chocolate protein powder, and so on.
Hungry yet!? You’ll know it’s done when it looks like this..
Now the most important part of the recipe is to not eat it right after the microwave unless you like hot cheesecake. What you need to do is to wrap it up once it cools down and put it into the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
While your chocolate microwave protein cheesecake is cooling, it’s time for the tip of the day!
Diet Tip
Did you know that on a nutritional label the ingredients are listed in the order of which they appear most in the item?
For example, in the peanut butter I’m using in the video you have roasted peanuts, sugar, palm oil, and salt. If it didn’t have peanuts listed first in peanut butter then you might want to question what you’re eating.
With sugar being the second ingredient it may also tell you that you could likely find a peanut butter with lower or even no sugar added.
Use this to your advantage to easily cutdown on specific ingredients or by making sure what’s advertised is actually what’s listed – unlike most fruit snacks which can have corn syrup and/or sugar as the main ingredients.
So there you go, another protein cheesecake for the diet recipe box. Speaking of recipe box, drop a comment below with what kind of recipes you’d like me to make this year. More slow cooker recipes? Low carb? Air fryer? Let me know!

I’m new to the site, 12 years out on a gastric bypass surgery, and have a question: your nutrition Facts say 362 calories for the whole cheesecake? So, with a small tummy, I divide by the number of pieces that I cut?
Welcome! Yes, you got it Jackie! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Made this and loved it. Have a question about the macros though. Mine came out to about 629 calories. Was hoping for some help, maybe I calculated wrong?
3 oz cream cheese = 300 calories.
Egg = 70
Protein powder = 150
Tbs choc chips = 70
Yogurt = 25
Cocoa powder = 11
Gonna try the lower fat cream cheese but if you have more insight it would be appreciated. Love the recipes and thanks for everything
Glad you liked it Travis! You can lower the calories with some sugar free chocolate chips and a different protein powder. Hope this helps
3 oz of Cream cheese isn’t 300 calories that might be where you miscalculated
Hi !
How many grams of yogurt are needed for this recipe ? (I buy huge 908g containers).
Your recipes are awesome BTW !
Thanks !
37.5g – You can switch to metric for this info on the ingredient list now. Hope this helps Dom! Thank you
