Summer is here and that means the season of frozen desserts has begun! This Protein Strawberry Sorbet recipe is quick to make, a great way to cool off, macro friendly, and one of our favorite healthy ice cream alternatives!
All you need to make this? A food processor and something to store your sorbet in! If you don’t have a food processor, here’s a link to the one I’ve been using.
Add right into your processor 1 pound of fresh or frozen strawberries, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 container of a vanilla or strawberry Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon of your choice sweetener, and 1 ounce of water.
If you’re using fresh strawberries make sure to wash them and chop the tops off before adding them into your food processor.
Process all of those protein strawberry sorbet ingredients together for around 2 minutes.
Continue by adding and mixing in with a spoon 3 1/2 scoops of a vanilla or strawberry protein powder. You could also change it up here and use other flavors, just make sure they compliment the other flavors in the recipe.
Process it one more time for around :20 seconds or until your powder is fully incorporated.
Pour your protein strawberry sorbet into whatever you’re storing it in, cover it, and put it into the freezer for 3-4 hours.
Remove your sorbet from the freezer, portion it out, and optionally top it. I topped mine with some whipped cream and fresh strawberry slices. Let us know what you use for a healthy topping in the comments below!
Pro tip? Let your protein strawberry sorbet thaw out for 5-10 minutes before eating it.

This has potential but I highly suggest fresh versus Frozen and adding closer to a half cup of water. Mine turned out very dry without adding more water. Good though!
Thanks for the tip David!
