Matcha Green Tea Mug Cake
The only thing I like more than coffee inside a mug? A mug cake! Today we keep the caffeine but remove the coffee with this delicious, protein packed Matcha Green Tea Mug Cake!
If you haven’t tried a green tea dessert yet, this is the one to try!
First, take out a mug and coat it with some non-stick cooking spray. You could also use a bowl or anything else microwave safe to change up the size and shape!
Add into your mug 1 large egg, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of coconut flour, 1/2 scoop of protein powder, 1 ounce of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of optional sweetener, and 1 teaspoon of some matcha green tea powder.
Mix all of those matcha green tea mug cake ingredients up good in your mug and put it in the microwave for :30 seconds.
Remove it, mix everything up again, and continue microwaving it for around 1-2 minutes.
You don’t want it to dry out so just make sure to keep an eye on it and remember how long it took for next time.
Yes, it’s actually good. Did I say good? I mean absolutely delicious!
Green tea also has a ton of health benefits and you get a nice little boost since this has around 70mg of caffeine in it! Not bad, right?
Don’t forget to top your matcha green tea mug cake! Sugar free chocolate chips, Greek yogurt, or my favorite…POCKY!
