Protein Pineapple Whip

We’re going to kick the warmer recipes off this season with an easy one that only takes 5 simple ingredients to make, Protein Pineapple Whip! There’s a ton of volume to this for the amount of calories it is which means it’s super filling. If you’re looking to a healthy Dole Whip recipe or like our protein fluff you’re going to love this one!

Start with either a food processor or powerful blender that has a tamper. The tamper will allow you to push your ingredients back down as it’s blending whereas in the food processor you’ll have to scrape your sides down.

Add right into whatever you’re using 2 cups of frozen pineapple, 1 frozen small banana, 2 ounces of pineapple juice, 3 ounces of a Greek yogurt, and 1 1/2 scoops of a complimenting flavored protein powder.

For Greek yogurt I like using either vanilla, pineapple, or lemon and for protein powder I usually use vanilla. The choice is yours here, experiment with new flavor(s) and drop your favorite combinations in the comments below!

The most important step in this protein pineapple whip recipe is to always use frozen fruit. You can freeze the fruit yourself (fresh or canned) or buy it bagged.

Process or blend everything together. Remember to scrape your sides down as it mixes if you’re using a food processor and if you’re using a blender, use the tamper.

Let it continue to process or blend for a couple minutes, you’ll know it’s done when your pineapple whip is creamy and the volume has significantly increased. If you’ve ever had Dole Whip before you can use that texture as reference.

To serve this with an aesthetic you can either use an ice cream scoop or homemade pastry bag. I make a homemade pastry bag by cutting the corner off a sealable bag. Do I do this other than for photos? No, I’ll usually eat it straight out of the food processor or blender.

A couple more tips for this Protein Pineapple Whip/Dole Whip?

  1. This isn’t a recipe I’d store so make it when you plan to eat it.
  2. If your protein powder isn’t sweet enough you can add in a little sweetener.
  3. Top it with whatever you want like some unsweetened shredded coconut or chocolate!

Just made this in my Vitamix and it was delicious. I think I’ll cut the recipe in half next time.
