Protein Cake Bars Recipe (120 Calories)!

Do you love cake? Do you love protein bars? If you said yes to EITHER then you’ll love my protein cake bars recipe!

Here is the recipe:

  • 3 Tablespoons Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Scoops Protein Powder (60g)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 Large Egg Whites
  • 1/4 Cup Sweetener
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/4 Cup Rolled Oats (100g) turned into Oat Flour
  • 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1/3 Cup (81g) Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt

Blend or Process your Rolled Oats until they look like flour. Mix your dry ingredients together in one bowl and your wet ingredients together in another bowl. Slowly combine your wet ingredients into your dry ingredients. Take out a 8×8 baking dish and coat it with non-stick cooking spray. Pour your mix into the baking dish. Bake on 350°F/176°C for 20:00-25:00. Enjoy!

  • Tip: Use fat free whip cream/cool whip to top them!

  • These cake bars are delicious. I like them better than the black bean brownies (those were pretty good too) but the only problem is that they are too good so I end up having like 3-4 right out of the oven on the first night. Luckily I’ll be switching from cutting to bulking soon so this will no longer be a bad thing. Keep em coming dude!

  • Another Great recipe! If you love chocolate you will love these. I’ve made these several times now. They go great with breakfast or as a snack throughout the day. I recommend storing them in the refrigerator if you plan on eating them throughout the week. The first time I made them they started to smell after about 4 days in the pantry.

  • These turned out to be delicious! I swapped the vanilla protein powder with chocolate flavored protein powder and the chocolaty element was even more pronounced.
