Bacon Tuna Melts Recipe

The combination of bacon, cheddar, and garlic will bring you to tuna melt heaven! This bacon tuna melts recipe is quick, high in protein, low in carbs, and absolutely delicious!

Here is the recipe:

  • 2 Cans Tuna in Water
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Lemon & Pepper
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Garlic Salt (or Regular Salt)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Minced Garlic (1 Clove)
  • 5 Tablespoons (75g) Fat Free Mayonnaise
  • 4 Tablespoons (28g) Real Bacon Bits (or Turkey Bacon Bits)
  • 1 Cup (100g) Celery
  • 2/3 Cup (56g) Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese

  • Carbs: 14g
  • Fiber: 2g
  • Sugar: 7g
  • Protein: 68g

  • Calories: 254
  • Fat: 10g
  • Saturated Fat: 3.5g
  • Sodium: 826mg
  • Carbs: 7g
  • Fiber: 1g
  • Sugar: 3.5g
  • Protein: 34g

Drain your Tuna. Chop up your Celery. Combine all of your ingredients together into a bowl. Shape your melts (I prefer making 2). Cut 2 squares (or however many you’re making) of aluminum foil that are large enough to fold over each melt. Fold the aluminum foil over your melts so that they are sealed. Place your wrapped melts on a baking sheet. Bake on 350°F/176°C for 15:00. Enjoy!

Tip:

  • Use white cheddar rice cakes instead of bread!
