Healthy Orange Cream Bread, Cake, or Cupcakes Recipe

Are you ready for some absolutely delicious Orange Cream Bread, Cake, or Cupcakes? This recipe made using our LeanPro 100% Whey Protein Powder is easy to make, full of flavor, PACKED with protein!

Here is the recipe for the Bread, Cake, or Cupcakes:

  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Slices Orange Zest
  • 1/2 Orange
  • 2 Tablespoons (28g) Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon (14g) Coconut Oil
  • 1 Cup (120g) Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
  • 1 1/2 Scoops (58.5g) LeanPro 100% Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Sweetener
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Here is the recipe for the Frosting:

  • 2.65 Ounces (75g) Fat Free Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Scoop (39g) LeanPro 100% Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 4 Ounces (120g) Fat Free Cream Cheese

  • Fat: 57g
  • Saturated Fat: 22g
  • Sodium: 904mg
  • Carbs: 118g
  • Fiber: 20g
  • Sugar: 19g
  • Protein: 116g

Calories in each cake (if you make 2):

  • Calories: 724
  • Fat: 28.5g
  • Saturated Fat: 11g
  • Sodium: 452mg
  • Carbs: 59g
  • Fiber: 10g
  • Sugar: 9.5g
  • Protein: 58g

How to make:

  1. Shave 2 slices of Zest off your Orange.
  2. Peel your Orange.
  3. Add all of your ingredients for your Bread, Cake, or Cupcakes into a food processor and process them together.
  4. Add all of your ingredients for your Frosting into a bowl and mix them together until a frosting forms.
  5. Take out a either a bread, cake, or cupcake pan and coat it with some non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Evenly distribute your mix into your pan.
  7. Bake on 350F/176C for 15 minutes.
  8. Spread your frosting onto your bread, cake, or cupcakes.
  9. Top with some orange slices

  • Recipe is definitely best suited as a bread. I baked mine in a loaf pan for 28 minutes. Used zest from the whole orange. I wish I had some orange oil too, to amp the flavor even more! I don’t know how to explain it, but the bread made me think of an orange cornbread. It was a surprise, but a welcome one.
