What’s up everyone? Today in this series I’m gonna talk about a couple kitchen hacks that have saved me a ton of time over the years and one thing that has drastically improved the quality of my coffee addiction in the summer time! Check out the video below or keep reading!
Sticky Measuring Cup
The first thing we’re gonna talk about is a STICKY MEASURING CUP. Say I need 1/2 cup of brown rice syrup (or anything sticky). It comes with both liquid and dry measurements that are easily readable on both sides so all I need to do is twist the easy to turn knob down to the measurement I want and then pour my brown rice syrup in. Right now you’re probably thinking, “that’s easy with any measuring cup”…so lets explain why I love this thing. To add my brown rice syrup or whatever I’m using, all I need to do is twist the knob up and lightly scrape if anything is left. There’s no need to waste time scraping the sides over and over and they’ll always be little to no waste which should save you not just time but money in the long run. Using a standard measuring cup after this thing is like trying to get rid of your clingy ex boyfriend or girlfriend…it takes awhile.

Food Thermometer
The next thing we’re gonna talk about is a FOOD THERMOMETER. This is something I didn’t start using until a few years ago and the first time I used one I couldn’t believe I waited so long to buy something so cheap, seriously. A good food thermometer will only run around 15-20 bucks (link below) and should last you decades. Why do I like this thing so much? ONE REASON is all that I need and that reason is…I NEVER end up over or undercooking ANYTHING anymore. You turn it on, insert it, and read within seconds. The only thing left for you to do is factor in the few degrees it’ll cook once you pull it off the heat and boom…perfectly cooked food every single time. Another great reason to purchase this thing? *Cough*…so you think you’re getting sick and you go to grab your medical thermometer in order to justify staying home that day but it seems to have ran out of batteries. NO PROBLEM, take your temperature in style with your meat thermometer. No, I’m not serious…or am I?
Coffee Ice Cubes
The last thing we’re gonna talk about is one of my favorite things on this planet, coffee. There’s not much you can do to make a great cup of coffee even better but there is ONE thing you can do to keep that great cup great in the summer! With this simple tip you don’t need to chug your iced coffee before it gets watered down…it stays cool and iced the whole time! The solution? All you need are a couple cheap ice trays and some extra coffee lying around. Personally I make some coffee just for this at the beginning of every week in the summer so I never run out but using your leftover coffee is even easier! Take out a couple ice trays, add whatever you want into your coffee (I like adding in a teaspoon of vanilla extract per tray), pour some coffee into them, and put them into the freezer. Add your coffee ice cubes into your coffee and now you’ll never have watered down coffee again!
