Keep your diet and beat your cravings with some Protein Banana Cream Pie! This healthy homemade dessert recipe is packed with banana flavor, healthy, easy to make with just a couple ingredients, and takes no time at all to prep!

For this homemade protein pie recipe you’re going to need a large bowl to mix all of your ingredients in, something to mix your ingredients with, and an optional pre-made pie crust.

Add right into your large bowl 2 boxes of sugar free fat free instant banana cream pudding, 2 1/2 cups of fat free milk or unsweetened milk substitute, and 1 1/2 scoops of a vanilla or banana protein powder.

Pro tip? To thicken it up even more you could add in 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of some xanthan gum!

Mix all of those ingredients together for around 1-2 minutes or until everything for your protein pie is incorporated. I like using a hand mixer speed this step up.

Once mixed, chop up a medium banana into slices and lightly mix/fold it in.

Pie Crust

Take out your optional regular, reduced fat, or fat free graham cracker pie crust and pour your mix into it. If you choose not to use a pie crust here you can alternatively pour your mix into whatever you want to eat your pie out of.

Cover your protein banana cream pie and put it into the fridge for around 2 hours. As it cools, it’ll continue to thicken up even more.

Remove your pie from the fridge, uncover it, and top it as a layer with 1/2 cup of whipped topping.

You could also top this with other fruits, chocolate chips, nuts, and so on. Let us know what creative and healthy ways you make your pie in the comments below.

Can you make this recipe with different pudding mixes?

Could you use this recipe with a different flavour of pudding mix? Say chocolate vanilla or butterscotch? I can’t get banana in my country.

This is an awesome recipe, I changed up the flavors and mixed the cool whip into the custard instead of on top, great starter recipe. I still wanna try the Banana cream pie, but I tailored it to my hubby who loves Oreos! I even added reduced fat Oreos, can’t go wrong!

I love this recipe. I’ve made it as a pie, and also just eat the filling as pudding. It’s quick, easy, and delicious!
