Sriracha Meatballs

Spice up your meatball cravings with these high protein Sriracha Meatballs! This healthy meal prep recipe goes great with almost anything, is low in carbs, and packed with just enough kick.

Add into a large mixing bowl 1 beaten extra large whole egg, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, 3 cloves of garlic or 1 1/2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1/2 chopped up yellow onion, 1/3 cup of bread crumbs, and 2 tablespoons of chili sauce.

Mix all of those ingredients together until everything is incorporated.

Add in 1 pound of either lean ground beef or turkey and mix that in. I use my (washed!) hand to speed this step up and went with 96/4 lean meat today.

Take out a baking sheet, optionally line it or coat it with some non-stick cooking spray, and shape your Sriracha meatballs onto it. However big or small you want your balls is completely up to you.

Put your meatballs into the oven on 375F/190C for around 10-12 minutes, flip them over, and cook them for an additional 10-12 minutes.

Remember that the size of balls may change your cooking time so make sure to keep an eye on them!

Remove your Sriracha meatballs from the oven and eat them as is or with your favorite carb and/or vegetables. I’m eating mine with some quinoa and a fajita blend vegetable mix today. Let us know some of your favorite ways to eat these in the comments below.

Can I just recommend pre browning the onions. It helps develop the favor. Will try recipe when I get a chance. 🙂

Do you know roughly how many meatballs this recipe makes?
And would oats work as a substitute for the bread crumbs?
    Thanks!

Made them, and they taste delicious!
I use them as a healthy snack, a great way to avoid bad food when i’m hungry.
They fit perfect in my low carb diet!

I am using pork rinds as the bread because I am doing low carb. Hoping it turns out well.

Have you ever tried using Quinoa or Cous Cous in meatballs instead of bread crumbs? It is delicious and they turnout extra juicy!

Hi Bri! I’ve done quinoa before (loved it) but never cous cous! I’ll have to give that a shot.
