Keep the flavor and the diet with this healthy breakfast Apple Cinnamon Protein French Toast! This quick recipe is super easy to make with just a few ingredients, guaranteed to satisfy all ages, and a great way to start your morning!

All you need for this one is a mixing bowl, something to mix your ingredients with, and a stovetop pan or griddle to cook your French toast.

Add right into your bowl 2 large whole eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/4 cup of unsweetened milk substitute, 1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1 scoop of a vanilla protein powder, and 2 teaspoons of light brown sugar.

Mix all of those ingredients together with either a whisk or hand mixer until your apple cinnamon protein French toast mix is smooth. If you don’t have a hand mixer, here’s a link to the one I’ve been using and recommend.

Take out a stovetop pan or griddle, turn your burner on medium heat, and coat your pan or griddle with some non-stick cooking spray.

While your pan is heating up take your choice bread and put it into your mix. Leave it in your mix for :20-:30 seconds, flip it over, and leave that side in your mix for :20-:30 seconds.

Protein French Toast

Put your bread onto your pan or griddle and cook each side for around 1-2 minutes or until browned. Repeat until you have all of your apple cinnamon protein French toast!

Remember that the calories listed below are for your mix so whatever bread you use is completely up to you. Use a bread that fits your diet that day! Thick, whole wheat, low calorie…the choice is yours.

Remove your French toast from your pan or griddle and optionally top it! I topped mine with some sugar free syrup, whipped cream, ground cinnamon, and fresh apple slices. Let us know what you top yours with in the comments below.

These were really good! They don’t even need syrup; I just added some applesauce on top and they were good to go.
