Are you ready to start your holiday mornings off right? This quick, healthy, delicious, and extremely festive Candy Cane Protein Shake recipe is guaranteed to give you some spirit this holiday season!
Add into a blender 1/2 cup of unsweetened milk substitute, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract, 1/4 cup of rolled oats, 1 broken up candy cane, 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 container of vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 scoop of a vanilla protein powder, and a couple optional drops of some red food coloring.
You can easily change up the flavor of your shake by using various flavored candy canes, protein powders, and seasonal Greek yogurts. Pro tip? Make sure all of the flavors compliment each other!
Want a thicker shake? Add in 1/2 cup of ice and/or some xanthan gum (1/4-1/2 teaspoon).
Blend everything together until you have your candy cane protein shake.
Pour your shake into your favorite glass and optionally top it. I topped mine with some light whipped cream and green sprinkles today. Let us know what you top your holiday shake with in the comments below!
