Cookies & Cream Protein Donuts

Are you ready to beat your cravings and change up your morning routine!? This Cookies & Cream Protein Donuts recipe should do the trick! These high protein donuts pack a ton of flavor, have diet friendly macros, are quick to make, and use ingredients you probably already have!

Start this protein donut recipe with a mixing bowl for your ingredients and a donut pan like this one.

Add right into your mixing bowl 1 large whole egg, 2 large egg whites, 4 tablespoons of coconut flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 1 ounce of milk substitute, 1 tablespoon of your choice sweetener, 1 scoop of a good tasting protein powder, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

I like vanilla protein powder for this recipe but don’t be afraid to experiment with other flavors like chocolate or even a cookies & cream flavored powder!

Mix all of those ingredients together. I use a hand mixer to do this but whatever you have should get the job done with enough effort.

Is your cookies & cream protein donuts mix too thick? Add in another large egg white!

Take out your donut pan, coat it with some non-stick cooking spray, and pour your mix in. Be careful not to cover your donut hole which is the flat raised portion in each spot of your donut pan.

Evenly distribute 9 crushed up mini cookies on top of your donuts while pressing them in so that they bake evenly. I made 4 protein donuts today but if you want more you can easily double or triple the recipe below!

Put your cookies & cream protein donuts into the oven and bake them on 350F/176C for around 8-10 minutes.

Take them out, let them cool for a bit, and top them with whatever you want!

Protein Donut Topping

  • Nut butters
  • Greek yogurt (cookies & cream flavored!)
  • Protein frosting
  • Sugar free pudding

My favorite thing to top them with? Greek yogurt! Let me know your favorite combinations in the comments below.
