Healthier GREEN Pina Colada Smoothies

Green Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe
Written by The Protein Chef

If you like PINA COLADAS (who doesn’t sing this?)…I think I’ll end my singing career there. However, what I can guarantee you is better than my singing is this Green Pina Colada Smoothies recipe! This smoothie is packed with the good stuff, is super refreshing, and it’s naturally the color of Hulk, what’s not to love?

Start out by taking out a blender (unless you like violently shaking things and trying to drink chunks of vegetables and fruits). Now add into your blender 1 cup or 8 ounces of unsweetened vanilla coconut milk, 2 scoops or 60 grams of my Baking Protein, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 cup of pineapple which can either be fresh or frozen, 1 tablespoon or 14 grams of coconut oil, 1 banana (tip: bananas are way easier to peel by pinching the bottom and pulling apart), 1 cup of spinach or kale, 1/2 teaspoon of xanthan gum to thicken it up a bit which if you don’t want a thicker consistency you don’t have to add in, and 1/2 cup of ice. Now for a pro tip…this is the part where you could add in some alcohol if you wanna make things interesting! Last, blend everything together!

Seriously, this smoothie packs a ton of flavor AND health benefits all in one. If you’re worried about only tasting the spinach or kale…don’t, all of the other flavors overpower it so you can’t taste it at all.

Here is the recipe:

  • 1 Cup (8 Ounces) Unsweetened Vanilla Coconut Milk (or Regular Milk/Other Milk Substitute)
  • 2 Scoops (60g) TPC Baking Protein (or Vanilla Protein Powder)
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Pineapple
  • 1 Tablespoon (14g) Coconut Oil
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Cup Spinach (or Kale)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Xanthan Gum
  • 1/2 Cup Ice
  • Alcohol (Optional)
