Healthy Protein Shamrock Shake

1 Shake300 cals

A healthier alternative to your favorite unhealthy St. Patrick’s Day drink is here! This Healthy Protein Shamrock Shake recipe is diet friendly, packed with all the right flavors, just as good as the original, and guaranteed to satisfy.

To get this drink fully incorporated you’ll need a blender. If you don’t have a good blender, here’s a link to the one I’ve been using and recommend.

Add right into your blender 3/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla milk substitute, 1 container of a vanilla Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup of fat free cottage cheese, 1/4 teaspoon of mint extract, 1 scoop of a vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup of ice, and 8 optional drops of some green food coloring.

Can’t find or don’t have unsweetened vanilla milk substitute? Use regular milk or milk substitute and add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract to it.

Worried about the cottage cheese? Don’t be, you can’t taste the cottage cheese at all and it adds a ton of casein protein (slow digesting) to the recipe.

Blend everything together until your healthy protein shamrock shake is smooth.

Take out your favorite St. Patrick’s Day glass, pour your shamrock shake in, and optionally top it! I topped mine with some whipped cream today. Let us know what you top your shake with in the comments below.

    Hey Derek,

You ever try Weider Muscle Mass 2000 back in the day. I remember having it in early 2000s and it had a bizarre yet awesome taste that kindof burned my throat. It was almost chemically but I loved it. if you know what i’m talking about, any way of recreating that taste without all the calories? I can’t even seem to find a site that sells the original vanilla any more, its too old

Hey Ryan. I never tried that but it sounds…unpleasant. Haha! Have you tried messaging them? Could it have been a spice?
