Orange Creamsicle Protein Shake

Stay refreshed this summer and drink your favorite popsicle flavor while hitting your macros! This Orange Creamsicle Protein Shake takes just as good as the real thing, is easy to make in your shaker bottle, and comes packed with protein!

For this recipe you’ll need either a blender or shaker bottle. I used a shaker bottle today but if you want more of a “smoothie” you can use a blender.

Add right into whatever you’re using 3/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla milk substitute, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup of a light orange juice, 1 scoop of a vanilla protein powder, 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal, 1 container of a vanilla Greek yogurt, and 1/2 cup of ice.

Did you know that flaxseed meal is a great cheap source of healthy fats, fiber, and protein that will also help thicken up your shake?

Blend or shake everything together until you have your orange creamsicle protein shake!

Pour your shake into your favorite glass and optionally top it. I like to top mine with some fat free whipped cream, ground cinnamon, and crushed up graham cracker! Let us know what you top your shake with in the comments below.

Pro tip? Make your own “light” orange juice by simply just using a 1:1 ratio of regular orange juice and water. Speaking of orange juice, pulp or no pulp?
