If you’re looking for a healthier Starbucks alternative that’s delicious and easy to make then you’re going to love this Protein Mochaccino! This high protein coffee recipe is a great quick way to start your morning and guaranteed to wake you up.
Start this one with a blender (here’s mine) and your favorite iced coffee! I like to prepare my coffee at the beginning of each week using our delicious Cold Brew Coffee recipe. Preparing it in bulk saves me time and allows me to use it in other fun coffee recipes like this protein mochaccino!
You can also switch up the flavor of this recipe by using different roasts. I used a dark roast today but if you want a seasonal mochaccino? Use a pumpkin flavored roast. Hazelnut? Use a hazelnut flavored roast. The list here is endless!
Speaking of roasts, what is your choice coffee roast? Let me know in the comments below!
Protein Mochaccino Ingredients
Take out your blender and add into it 1 cup of a dark roast coffee, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 scoop of a chocolate protein powder, 1 container of Greek yogurt, 1/2 tablespoon of brown rice syrup, and some optional ice!
Blend everything together until smooth.
Want a stronger protein mochaccino? Add in or just use espresso!
Pour your mochaccino into your favorite glass and start your morning right! I like to top mine with some sugar free chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Some of my other favorite coffee toppings?
- Sugar free caramel
- Ground cinnamon
- Sweetener
- Cocoa powder
Did you know that cocoa powder is a great way to add extra fiber to your diet with 2g of dietary fiber in every serving?
Pro tip? Make coffee ice cubes the night before so your protein mochaccino never gets watered down but stays cold!
