Looking for some healthy holiday dinner ideas? Try these Healthy Holiday Meatballs! This high protein recipe is super quick, easy to make, cheap, and taste just like a holiday dinner in every bite!
All you need for this recipe is large mixing bowl for all of your ingredients and some space in your oven for 30 minutes!
Add into your mixing bowl 1 package (20.8 ounces) lean ground turkey, 2 large whole eggs, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1/4 cup of craisins, 4 servings of your choice stuffing mix, and 1/4 cup of chopped up red onion.
I used 93/7 today but anything over 90/10 should be fine. You can also use ground beef instead of turkey if you can’t find or don’t like ground turkey.
Mix all of those ingredients together until everything is incorporated.
Take out a baking sheet, optionally line it (easy clean up), and coat it with some non-sticking cooking spray.
Shape your holiday meatballs however big you want them and place them onto your baking sheet. Repeat until all of your mix is gone.
Put your meatballs into the oven on 375F/190C for around 25-30 minutes. The bigger your holiday meatballs are, the longer they’ll take to cook.
Take your meatballs out of the oven and top them! I usually go with some bbq sauce or gravy for this recipe. Let us know what you top yours with in the comments below.
