How To Make EASY Spicy Bacon Cheddar Burgers

Easy Spicy Bacon Cheddar Burgers Recipe

So it’s finally SUMMER and that means a couple things…lots of fireworks and of course…lots of barbecues. Today we celebrate the start of grill season and make these absolutely delicious Spicy Bacon Cheddar Burgers happen!

We’re gonna start by prepping our burger mix so take out a large bowl and first add into it 1 pound of either lean ground beef or turkey (today I’m using ground turkey). If you want more you can easily just double or triple the recipe as well. Now follow that with 1 large whole egg, 1/3 cup of bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of either bacon bits or a couple slices of broken up precooked bacon, 2 ounces of Westminster Rustic Red Cheddar Cheese which you can either chop it into chunks or grate it (my preference), 3/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, a couple squirts of some chili sauce (optional) to add some heat to them, and a little salt & pepper!

Go ahead and mix everything together then shape your burgers making them however big you want them. Once you’ve shaped them all head over to either your frying pan or outside to your grill and turn your burners on medium heat. Throw on some cooking spray and cook each side for around 5 minutes or until your internal temperature is at least 160F/71C for ground beef and 165/73C for ground turkey.

A couple minutes before they’re done you can grate some cheese on top of them if you like cheese on your burger then pull them off the heat once it melts. Last, add on your toppings and…devour it!!!

How to make:

  1. Chop or grate your Cheddar Cheese and combine all of your ingredients together in a large bowl
  2. Mix everything together
  3. Shape your burgers however big you want them
  4. Turn a stove top pan or your grill on medium heat
  5. Coat whatever you’re using with some non-stick cooking spray
  6. Cook your burgers on each side for around 5 minutes
  7. Optionally top them with cheese a couple minutes before they’re done


  • Ground beef should be cooked to 160F/71C and ground turkey should be cooked to 165F/73C!
