Spicy Bacon Cheddar Burgers

Grill season is here and we celebrate that by making some absolutely delicious Spicy Bacon Cheddar Burgers! These protein packed burgers are great for any cookout, have just the right amount of heat, and take no time at all to prep.

Start these by prepping your burger mix in a large bowl.

You’ll need either a pound of lean ground beef or turkey. I’m using ground turkey today.

You could also easily double or triple the recipe if you’re feeding multiple people (use the scale below for this).

Follow that with 1 large whole egg, 1/3 cup of bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of bacon bits, 2 ounces of cheddar cheese, 3/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, a couple squirts of some optional chili sauce to add some heat, a little salt, and a little pepper.

Mix all of that together.

Shape your bacon cheddar burgers making them however big or small you want them.

Head over to either your frying pan or grill after you’ve shaped all of your bacon cheddar burgers and turn your burners on medium heat.

Coat your pan or grill with some non-stick cooking spray and cook each side for around 5 minutes.

Your internal temperature should be at least 160F/71C for ground beef and 165/73C for ground turkey. Use a food thermometer (link below) to read this easily!

Toss on some cheddar cheese a couple minutes before they’re done then pull them off the heat once it melts.

Add on your favorite toppings and devour it!

Speaking of toppings, what are your favorite toppings on a burger?
