It’s time we dive down the air fryer meal prep lane with a 3 ingredient Easy Air Fryer Salmon! If you’ve got 15 minutes to spare, have these 3 simple ingredients, and want a quick high protein meal prep then you’ve come to the right place. This healthy recipe is foolproof and absolutely delicious.
To make this all you need is first and foremost? Your salmon. There are a few different types you’ll see at the store, and any of them will work great in the air fryer! Atlantic, sockeye, king, coho, pink, etc. My personal favorite? Whatever’s on sale!
If not already cut, chop up your pieces into fillet strips. Whether or not you remove the skin, is completely up to you. I usually eat it, especially for the health benefits…but I think I might be in the minority here.

You want your salmon fillet strips to be the same size so it all cooks evenly. Depending on how thick or thin your salmon is, you may need to add or subtract to your cooking time.
Salmon Skin Health Benefits
- High in omega-3 fatty acids
- Rich in collagen
- Vitamin D + B vitamins
- Minerals like selenium, phosphorus, and potassium are concentrated in and around the skin
- MORE PROTEIN!
After that, place your pieces into a mixing bowl then add in 1 tablespoon of olive oil per pound of salmon and your favorite salmon seasonings. All I used today was 1 teaspoon of Old Bay Seasoning.
Flip your pieces around a few times to make sure they’re all coated.

This is now where you can get creative, here are some of my other favorite seasonings to use here:
Air Fryer Salmon Seasonings
- Cajun seasoning
- Lemon pepper
- Blackened seasoning
- Garlic and herb
- Everything bagel seasoning
- Italian seasoning
- Smoke paprika
- Montreal steak seasoning
- Jerk seasoning
- Chili lime
- Ranch seasoning
- Mrs. Dash (any!)
- Adobo seasoning
- Chipotle seasoning
- BBQ rub

Last, hit your air fryer basket with some cooking spray and place your pieces into it. Put them into your air fryer on 400F/204C for around 10-12 minutes or until your air fryer salmon reaches 145F/62C (some swear by 135F/57C).
If you choose to glaze this, brush that on at the end and drop your temp to 350F/176C for around 2-3 minutes.
Salmon Glazes
- Teriyaki-style: 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce, 1 Tablespoon Honey, 1 Teaspoon Rice Vinegar, 1 Teaspoon Grated Ginger
- Honey Garlic: 2 Tablespoons Honey, 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce, 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic, Lemon
- Brown Sugar: 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar, 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce, 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire, 1 Teaspoon Dijon
Make any of these sugar free by swapping your honey or brown sugar with sugar free alternatives.
Pro tip? If you preheat your air fryer, it’ll take a bit less time so keep an eye on it.

This goes with rice, in a salad, over vegetables, on top of pasta, in a wrap, flaked into a grain bowl, stuffed into a (sweet) potato, or just on its own with a squeeze of lemon!
You’ll want to keep this air fryer salmon in the fridge where it should last around 2-3 days. To reheat it, throw it back in the air fryer on 350F/176C for 3-4 minutes.
Ready for dessert? How about some Ricotta Cheesecake!?

I’ve slept on my air fryer since I got it and decided to give this a go. So good!! Used a barbecue rub we had left. Thank you
